Customers will be contacted by the shipping company to schedule delivery. Customers are solely responsible for any fees or costs (including, but not limited to, storage and re-delivery) resulting from customer’s failure to take delivery on the scheduled time. Once your order ships, you will be provided with all delivery information, including a tracking number and the common carrier’s contact information.
Truck delivery is “Curbside Delivery”. When delivering to an apartment building delivery will be to the central lobby only. Delivery personnel will not unpack or setup the item for you and will not place it in a specific room. We recommend that 4 to 6 individuals be present to assist in taking delivery. Normal delivery hours for Large Item Shipping are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. The delivery company will contact you at the number you provide to arrange a delivery time. Truck delivery transit time is generally between 2-7 business days and varies depending on delivery location and conditions.
Will Call Service: “Will Call” service is available. Please make sure to contact us to confirm your order is ready for pick up prior to arriving.
Shipping Destinations: We ship to any residential or commercial address in the United States. Any change of delivery date or address must be received in writing and called in to our office before your order ships. All of our doors are shipped safely in a secure pallet system, specifically designed to protect your door.
Processing Times: Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday. Please note, credit card processing can take up to 3 business days (depending on the accuracy of the information given to us by the customer.). For security reasons, voice confirmation may be required before we can process your credit card for payment.
Construction Time: Doors generally are built within 9 weeks. Times may vary based on current volume. If lead time is greater than 9 weeks you will be contacted.
Inspection and Claims: Customer is solely responsible to inspect the freight for shortages or signs of damage upon receipt of goods while the driver is still there. If there is any freight damage the customer must sign for the crate as “damaged”and note it (type and location) on the freight company’s paperwork. If the customer finds any freight damage after the driver has left the property it is the customer’s responsibility to file a freight claim with the freight company. When receiving package please check doors before releasing driver and note any damage on the delivery receipt. If the driver cannot wait on inspection, please note on the delivery receipt “potential damage subject to inspection.” Please contact us immediately if you notice any damage to your product.

IF THE DELIVERY ADDRESS IS INACCESSIBLE OR INVALID, CUSTOMER AGREES TO PAY THE PURCHASE ORDER AMOUNT AND THE ADDITIONAL DELIVERY CHARGES. WE ADVISE AGAINST PICKING UP THE ORDER FROM THE FREIGHT COMPANY`S TERMINAL OR ANY LOCATION OTHER THAN THE DELIVERY ADDRESS, SINCE PIVOT DOOR COMPANY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES.
THE PIVOT DOOR COMPANY IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OTHER THAN THOSE MENTIONED ON THE FREIGHT COMPANY`S DELIVERY RECEIPT. PLEASE ENSURE YOU INSPECT THE CONTENT OF YOUR ORDER BEFORE SIGNING THE DELIVERY FREIGHT RECEIPT. THE DRIVER WILL NOT UNCRATE OR OPEN THE PACKAGE. THEREFORE, THE CUSTOMER WILL HAVE TO OPEN THE BOXES AND INSPECT THE CONTENTS.
Pivot Door Company guarantees ship dates; we do not guarantee delivery times. Ship times depend on the carrier. That being said, we have come to trust and see great reliability in Fedex Freight.
STANDARD 9 WEEKS TO SHIP
Your door leaves the shop nine weeks from order confirmation. Allow additional time* for freight delivery. See map below for approximate transit times to your region.
RUSH 2 WEEKS LESS TO SHIP
If nine weeks is not soon enough, we can manufacture a custom door sooner if you choose the Rush Option. The additional charge covers reducing production time by 2 weeks including but not limited to; paying the extra hours worked by the production team, paying rush charges for any specialty hardware/materials not in stock. While most door designs are able to be completed in this time frame, some designs may require additional time in production. This rush time frame will be shown on your order before you sign for final order confirmation to begin production. Allow additional time* for freight delivery.
